For leaders climbing back to clarity
Short Spotify playlists built for the moments when leadership feels noisy, screen-heavy, or just a little too close.
We’ve made something for you <3
It’s called Mixtapes for Leaders — short Spotify playlists built for the moments when leadership feels noisy, screen-heavy, or just a little too close.
I’m returning to the sentiment of those mixtapes (or burned CDs) we used to make for friends, family and lovers. It was never just a playlist. It was a gesture. A love language. A way of saying: I thought of you. I took time. I chose this on purpose. I want you to have something that meets you where you are.
That’s what these are.
A gift for our community of leaders, the ones carrying a lot, holding a lot, and rarely getting something made just for them.
Each mixtape begins with a WILD Walk: a 10–15 minute guided walking reflection for leaders, written and narrated by me. It’s a gentle prompt to slow down, notice what’s true, and reconnect with the part of you that can lead with steadiness. After the WILD Walk, the playlist continues with songs chosen to carry the same theme… music that holds the thread, deepens the mood, and keeps you moving.
They’re all under an hour. Long enough to shift something. Short enough to actually listen in its entirety.
Why mixtapes for leaders?
Because leaders don’t just need more information. We’re already saturated. We don’t need another tab, another framework, another “five steps to…” when what we really need is a return…to clarity, to breath, to rhythm, to the deeper knowing that gets buried under constant decisions.
Music is one of the fastest ways I know to change the weather inside myself.
Not by forcing a breakthrough. By creating a container. By softening the edges. By giving your nervous system a different tempo to follow. By making room for perspective to rise.
And walking, for me, is a kind of leadership practice.
It’s where I remember that I’m not meant to lead from a chair. It’s where tension unwinds. It’s where the signal gets clearer. It’s where the next true step often shows up — not as a dramatic revelation, but as something quietly obvious once I’m back in motion.
Mixtapes for Leaders are built for that: leadership in motion.
This first release is For Leaders Climbing Back to Clarity.
It’s for the seasons when you feel foggy, when you’ve been deep in the weeds, managing urgency, carrying complexity, and your vision feels just out of reach. It’s for the moments when you can tell you’ve been bracing, pushing, and overthinking… and what you need most is to rise above the noise and return to a wider view.
My hope is simple:
That you press play, step outside, and let the next 30–60 minutes be a reset. A small threshold between “everything” and “what matters.” A way of reconnecting to your own leadership — not as performance, but as presence.
How to use this mixtape (a simple ritual)
Put your phone on Do Not Disturb.
Step outside, even if it’s just around the block.
Start walking before you start thinking.
Let the WILD Walk guide you for the first 10–15 minutes.
Stay with the music after: no multitasking, no inbox. Just you, moving.
If you try it, I’d love to hear what you notice: what softened, what clarified, what shifted.
This is the first of few mixtapes I’ve created, and more are coming. For now, start here. Listen to For Leaders: Climbing Back to Clarity on Spotify.
See you out there on the path, in the air, back in your body.
